Founded in 2016 by Susie Wolff, female motorsport initiative Dare To Be Different (D2BD) mission was to increase female participation, not only on track but in all aspects of the sport and other perceived male-dominated industries, has gained respect the world over.

 

In 2019 the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission has teamed up with Susie Wolff and Dare to be Different to pilot an exciting new educational programme for girls aged between 8 and 18 years old.

Following the successful Girls on Track - Dare To be Different activations at the Mexico City, Berlin E-Prix’ and Diriyah E-Prix the model was adopted by the FIA for its Girls on Track programme to take forward on a global scale be known as FIA Girls On Track. 

The overarching objective of the programme is to offer a positive experience of the motor sport world to young women between 8 and 18 years old in order, in the longer term, to increase the number of women involved in motorsport.
